Residents Write Their Story
We're here to support residents as they write their next chapter, whether that means providing concierge services, offering a helping hand, or simply standing back and cheering them on as they pursue their passions.
Dr. Richard Hart and his wife, Margaret, are residents at Cedarhurst of Columbia. For Dr. Hart, Cedarhurst is about more than comfort and safety; it’s about being able to follow his passions and learn new things—all with his wife by his side.
Relationships Matter
Our Living TRUE℠ program helps cultivate strong connections that will last for years.
Events and Programs
Every Cedarhurst community provides a daily calendar of social events and activities residents can choose from. And because senior living is tailored to our residents, you’ll find a little something for everyone and different offerings in each community.
Our Team Makes the Difference
We intentionally hire team members who have a desire to serve others and understand the value of relationships. Our team members know how residents take their coffee and how to make them laugh. We create programs and activities that meet each resident’s needs and enhance their lives. This extra attention to detail in the resident experience makes all the difference.

Senior Living Options for Everyone
We specialize in providing care options to suit your needs, preferences, and budget. Communities can offer assisted living, memory care, independent living, and more.
Assisted Living
Assisted living is designed for those who desire a low-maintenance life and access to desirable amenities while receiving personal support with activities of daily living (ADLs). These communities feature around-the-clock caregivers who can provide support as needed.
Memory Care
Memory care is designed for those who have received a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease or another form of dementia. These communities have specially trained staff members who are accustomed to providing support for those with this diagnosis. Residents in memory care communities thrive in this environment that offers around-the-clock caregiver assistance and comfortable and personalized routines and experiences.
Independent Living
Independent living is designed for active older adults who are looking for a low-maintenance life, new friendships, and opportunities to meet their wellness goals. This living option is ideal for those who don’t require assistance with ADLs.
Pricing Structure and Costs
Senior living is an investment. However, many people find that the costs associated with a senior living community are comparable to or less than the monthly bills they pay while living at home. Even though costs are comparable, it’s still important to consider the financial aspect of senior living as part of making an informed decision.
Pricing Structure
There are two common types of billing: a monthly fee and larger “buy-in” fees.
With the monthly fee pricing structure Cedarhurst offers, residents receive one bill each month that includes apartment rent, utilities, and amenities. This offers month-to-month leasing flexibility and greater predictability in budgeting.
With buy-in fees, residents pay a large entrance fee or down payment upon move-in. Then, they’ll also pay a monthly fee based on their contract type and services.

What to Consider
Monthly fees cover so much more than just rent. They also cover caregiver support, events, programs, amenities, utilities, dining experiences, and more. Many of these features are billed separately while living at home, or older adults may not have easy access to these supports or programs at home.
Although the monthly fees cover many aspects of community living, care services associated with assisted living or memory care are more expensive due to the highly specialized care and services these environments provide.
