On Saturday, October 17th Cedarhurst of Shiloh hosted the First Annual Cedarhurst Fall Festival. The event was open to the public and neighboring communities from 1-7pm and invitations were sent home with the local schools inviting children and their families to come visit. We had loads of fun activities for all age groups complete with bounce house, skill games, entertainment, dancing, delicious chili, hot dogs, cotton candy, cider, cocoa, face paining, balloon-magic, a cake-walk, dancing competitions, raffles, pony rides, petting zoo, s’mores and a toasty camp fire to keep us cozy.
Fun was had by all who attended and our lucky residents were able to enjoy this community event right in their backyard. We would like to thank all of those who helped make this event great as well as all of the local families who stopped by. Many hands took part in this labor of love, from employees and their family members to our residents who cut, served and painted for the “Scarecrow Stuffing” or baked a variety of goodies for the “Cake Walk”.
With the first annual Cedarhurst of Shiloh “Fall Festival” behind us, we have learned a few things, but one thing is certain. A new Autumn tradition has been born! With incredible planing and teamwork, our community rose to the challenge making our first endeavor a great success.
We had so much fun, and are looking forward to next year. See you there!
