Molla Cook joined our Cedarhurst of Shiloh Assisted Living family in 2012. Some of Molla’s duties include cleaning resident apartments, laundry and maintaining of common areas. She also helps in the kitchen and nursing department when needed. But Molla is so much more than her job description.
Molla loves to cook and bake. She makes the best Cake Balls and even helped to cook for the members of the St. Louis Cardinals in her younger days. In her free time, Molla enjoys listening to all kinds of music. Her dad was a musician so she had the privilege to be around music her entire life. Above all, she loves her two daughters, Kati and Jennalee, the most. They are her pride and joy and her best friends.
Being a woman who loves her community, Molla ran a local school concession stand for 21 years and helped with the same school’s marching band for 12 years. Throughout Molla’s careers, one thing has remained constant – her love for being around and caring for those around her. Molla worked for St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Belleville for over 40 years.
Molla is kind, caring, compassionate and genuine. She is always offering a helping hand. She has formed a very close bond with many of our residents because she genuinely cares and takes the time to get to know them. She goes above and beyond every day. Whether the kitchen is short staffed and needs help or the caregivers are running behind, Ms. Cook is there to help. She even stays after her shift is finished and comes in on her days off if needed. Molla may be just a single team member on the Cedarhurst team, but her personality and work ethic are what makes her a great representation of all those who work at Cedarhurst communities.
